Other Ways to Support GoodWeave

CFC

Combined Federal Campaign: Workplace Giving for Federal Employees

We are proud to announce our participation in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The CFC is the workplace charity fund drive for members of the Armed Forces, U.S. Postal Service and U.S. Government.

Fewer than one in 10 charities qualify for this fund drive, and it is an honor to be included. If you work for Uncle Sam, please make your contribution to Child Slavery, Trafficking and Forced Labor Rescue, which benefits GoodWeave, as your selected charity this fall. Look for our  CFC#11139.

Monthly Giving

Becoming a monthly supporter of GoodWeave maximizes your gift’s potential. Since it is a recurring donation processed automatically, more of your money goes directly to support the humanitarian programs helping thousands of former child workers.

On the main donation page, mark that you would like your gift to recur every month. Your initial pledge will be processed immediately and then future gifts will be automatic. For example, if you choose to make monthly contributions, at the same time in the following month and each succeeding month, that amount will be charged to your account.

Matching Gifts

If you plan to make a donation to support GoodWeave and want to maximize the gift to the fullest, invite your employer to match it. Many companies also match donations of spouses, retirees and board members.

Here are a few simple steps that can double the value of your gift to GoodWeave:

  1. Pick up a matching gift form from your human resources department.
  2. Fill out and sign the employee section of the matching gift form. Our tax ID number is 52-2042014.
  3. Send your matching gift form to GoodWeave at 2001 S Street, NW, Suite 510, Washington, DC 20009.

GoodWeave will process your matching gift form and send it to your employer. Your employer sends its matching gift donation directly to GoodWeave.

If your employer doesn't currently match gifts to GoodWeave, you can suggest that they do. The policy at many companies is to add a charity to the "approved" list for employee giving if one or more employees ask to make a gift to that charity. Being on the approved list often means other employees will see our name and decide to support us too.

If your company has a United Way campaign that allows you to direct your contribution to charities other than United Way, please take advantage of that opportunity. If your company restricts giving to a list of approved charities, please ask your human resources department how you can add us to that list. Having an employee ask to include a charity to the list is usually all it takes.
